It’s been a tough ride ever since New York happened. The banana puddings and cup cakes refuse to stop showing up on my waist line. I remember Tall laughing at me every time I started my day with the heavenly banana pudding from Magnolia or a cake slice because the sprinkles were so pretty, (tell me its not okay to eat things if they look this pretty!?) . My excuse was, if Carrie didn’t put on any weight from those puddings neither would I. Turns out, I was wrong.
Facing a wardrobe crisis that even my spanx refused to address, I was left with my imagination and a Little Black Dress to live out my days as the girl who ate too much banana pudding or the girl who feels cheated by Carrie Bradshaw.
Introducing the LBD aka Little Black Dress. Honestly, you and I would look gorgeous in any color but I am choosing this LBD for two reasons – one it was Coco Chanel’s genius answer to “a dress for all occasions”. Two because the dress came with a sale tag that literally shouted out to my poor post New York trip wallet. Everyone has a thrill ignition and mine happens to be a bargain that goes out of the way to prove its loyalty and benefits.
Without further revelations of my cheap thrills or plans to sell a kidney for something Chanel in my wardrobe here is the dress for all occasions unless the occasion is a pudding hunt? The dress is no good then; I will need my fat pants with adjustable elastic for that feat.
Little black dress from River Island (shop LATEST LBDs here, here and here). There are too many OUT THERE. Tassel earrings from H&M (shop here), Statement neck pieces (shop similar here and here and here), Evening jacket from CUE by Rohit Gandhi Rahul Khanna (shop for chicest of bling here), like I said its raining Loafers this season(shop similar here , here and here ).
